Computer history? Want to know? Start here aja, with a distinctive style Prothelord we will discuss this interesting topic, because no one is quite sure when he started. This is because growth is very fast computer. Well in this article series, Prothelord invite you all to sail a time machine and see the development of computers from scratch. Interested? Go a head:)
Origins
Computers have long enough there. Year 1951 was a time when the first computer purchased for business. Computers have changed very quickly and make a lot of people find it difficult to follow.
A newspaper once tried to describe how fast changes in computer technology than the automotive industry as follows:
"If a car is developed to speed the development of computers during the last 20 years, then the price of a Rolls Royce today would be less than $ 3.00, have traveled 3 million miles with one gallon of fuel, has the power to move the ship Queen Elizabeth II and the size of six cars only amounted to a PIN! "
These changes have occurred so quickly that many people do not know how the modern computer begins and how the history of the computer starts.
First counter machine "Computers"
Since ancient times, people always have to deal with data and numbers. At first they make a knot on a rope and write marks on the clay sheet to record the stock and trade. Some people say that ABACUS 5000-year-old is the first tool that really counts.
Along with the increasing complexity of tax and trade system, one sees that the needed equipment faster, more reliable and accurate for calculating and keeping records.
After seeing the history of computers already in use 5000 years in China aka abacus, we will try to look into a more mudaan time. Ie mid-1600.
At that Blaire Pascal and his father who was a tax officer, working on service tax for the French government in Paris. Types both spent many hours to count the amount of taxes to be paid by every citizen. In the year 642, Blaise decided to make an addition and a deduction engine that will help in making the calculations are very time-consuming. Blaise made machine has eight gear wheels that work together similar to the principles that made on the odometer (not tau, a tool used to calculate the number of miles already taken your car or motorcycle). Unfortunately the machine often experience problems. The problem is
*
Often get stuck,
*
Slow and expensive
*
People fear that if the use of these machines will replace their jobs.
Pascal in the future is very famous for his ability in mathematics and philosophy, but still very memorable role in the computer field. To remember him, then one of the existing computer language named after Pascal.
